The fastest Ruger 480 on Earth, or the fastest Revolver on Earth!? Hand loading extreme.
Today we finally find out how fast our Ruger 480 loads go in our Taurus Raging Bull. In the process pushing the tempo further than anyone ever has with a revolver. I bealive this is the highest velocity every achieved in a youtube video from a pistol, funny that it can't claim the title as fastest handgun period, as our 45 Magnum Opus surpasses even this! (Just not filmed over a Chrono)
We are using Ramshot True Blue vs Alliant Powder - Power Pistol to generate these insane velocities with our own bullets.
These two powders are phenomenal at pushing the envelope for speed, if anyone knows of a powder who's burn rate falls between the two with the same or better load density please comment below!
On a side note, this video was partially filmed with our FLIP video camera, the first camera ever used on this channel and likely it's last ever use. So if your into Digital Horror or Glitch video that somehow just barely functions, than this video is for you.

MudVee2 end of year last mud bog
Переглядів 7413 місяці тому
Last mud bog of 2023. We take the tireless Mudv2 to the "Bench Mark" Mud hole. Oddly this is the first video of the "Bench Mark" hole. It's actually the oldest A-tier Mud hole we've known about. It's famous for being the first mud hole to ever get our Everest-10 Dually Cat stuck. A small trickle of water deposited rich sediment into this small pool of water. It's wide width means wide trucks ha...
It's time for the TEN GAUGE

Another super slow motion video, which likely only I will watch... anyone want to donate a better high speed camera? In this video we FINALLY get to see the 10 gauge unleash destruction. The level of devastation surpassing any other gun I've caught in slow motion, or at the least equal to the 500 magnum. These are 3.5" shells with 165 grains of Black powder, that make over 3,400 foot pounds of ...
Yukon 2024 RC snow event Video 2 Mudding

While the iced over river was not part of the normal Yukon event, we here at Total Overkill Studios can not ignore a chance to try out a new mud hole. It was hard finding a section of the small spill way without ridged grass stocks, and was completely impossible to find a section that allowed any way out once in, but all the same we drove the Black Foot Mega Portal mud truck and the TT-90 Mudig...
B50 Kills it at snow
Переглядів 2074 місяці тому
I knew B50 was one of the best RC mud trucks ever, but I had no idea it would end up being our most unstoppable snow machine. We have built a lot of snow dedicated RCs, but this one is just insane. I pretty much lose it at one point in this video when it preforms a fully buried self recovery while submerged in over 7" of snow. Even when I tried to get this truck stuck driving through boot track...
Yukon 2024 RC snow event Video 1

This year's Winter 12 hour endurance RC trail run. In this video I capture a good chunk of the attendees going through an icy muddy obstacle. I don't catch my SCX6 going through, but the other SCX6 at the event does drive through at the end. Our Dually Cat RedCat Everest 10 is also in this clip, though a bit overkill for the situation.

The SUPER SLOG, the hardest mud hole of 2023, prep for LedgeStock
Переглядів 515 місяців тому
During our 2023 summer outings to test the machines we'd run in the Ledge Stock Mega Truck competition we found the nastiest hardest trench of them all. Coined The Super Slog. It's about half the length as The Trench seen previously on this channel, however it has a thinner water line with much deeper thicker mud. Having stopped more of our mud trucks than any other previous challenge. We took ...
What IS Mudv1? Why was it built? A 1 hour video Essay on off road design
Переглядів 1145 місяців тому
I worked to put together a 1 hour long design log of one of my most curious RC machines, in this video we will discus what is required to defeat mud, what a Mega Truck is and isn't. Strategies for maintaining progress through difficult terrain. As well as a recap of 2 years in 3D printed part technology I have developed. NOTE: Some of the footage in this video is just filler of other RC car's w...
The TRX4 returns to try the infamous FROG hole, + B50 and Mudigon

This was the first time all 3 of these machines got a chance at our super sticky Frog mud pit. We ran all 3 machines down the left side and back up the right side. The TT-90 "Mudigon" was without chains in this video which did hinder it's abilities. However due to the 1/2 mile long drive to the hole they could not be used. Good showcase of just how challenging scaled bounty holes can be for dif...

Redcat Everest 10s vs beach and surf
Переглядів 1638 місяців тому
Tall cat and Dually cat didn't enjoy the beach. This is fresh water, but all the same, sand is not good for motors and spur gears. I've never really seen how RCs do in the surf and in water covered sand, the answer is struggle, the waves wash sand out from under tires and you kind of end up in endless holes. These RCs are beast in the mud, so if they struggled here, it must be a challenging.
TRX-4 Traxxas Unimog takes on the mud with our 4wd Tamiya VW bug
Переглядів 1288 місяців тому
This was a fun day in some muddy tractor tire ruts. I was very surprised how well the VW bug did in the mud considering it's size. Both RCs suffered motor failures due to mud ingress into their brushes. Lessons learned on this day would pave the way to building MudV1 and MudV2 to not have the same weakness
Will MudV2 escape the Frog hole? 4K
Переглядів 1398 місяців тому
We put the reliability of MudV2 to the test here as we relentlessly push the limit of what this mud truck can do. This H1 Humvee might lack the portals of a real one, but it makes up for it with it's wide aggressive chevron high flotation tires and geared down Traxxas brushless power. Every mm gained was a battle, but a battle well fought.

ah the good old days of early youtube before google took over ! *notices upload time...*
I like the vaporwave filter at the beginning!
You made a barrel vice. This is how a gunsmith grips roundnobjects for disassembly
Huh! Good to know, Necessity is the mother of invention!
Nice job with tree removal
Those have to be the hardest sickest tires you can find for that rig. Something a bit more pliable would give you a better chance on the wet logs.
There was a very similar vehicle, the Croco, produced in Karlsruhe for Heuer, with an israelite Wankel RCE, Savkel, 440 cc per chamber, 32 HP, oil cooled rotor, air cooled housing, perhaps the worse combination available.
Should of had better footage of the atv coot in action
That's one way to erase a HDD.
I had a 2ws coot about 15 years ago. It needed a gear so I got one in steel that lasted for a few years. Billy McKinley of Arkansas( BJ’s Coot on UA-cam) made me new Bronze gears . They are super capable but slow and not very comfortable. The new Coot II was a bit better and had hydrostatic drive but never became popular. There was an old guy in California called “ Coot Tom” He had parts and unlimited knowledge. He may have even worked at Coot in the late 60’s. If I find a solid 4ws I will definitely buy it , I have ideas to improve it. Just gotta find a double enveloping worm drive so that weak point issue is solved. If not putting differential axles with portals would allow for much better steering( and add power steering)….
Very dangerous
Good information, but needed to start what you did at the beginning. Plus the camera wasn't set right.
Very interesting video! This was insightful for me, as I'm working on some offroad projects right now and there's not a lot of published information about designing at this scale.. Have you considered using PETG for your printed parts? It has about the same structural integrity as ABS, but without all the troubles of printing ABS
I used to make a lot of PETG parts for RCs, but did some test between gears and tires and found PLA holds up a lot better. It is true PETG is more flexible, but from testing PETG parts tended to crack and break apart while PLA parts did not, so I've used them since. What kind of machine are you looking to design?
Used to have one just like it, Sometimes, Sellers remorse
10 years later, glad I still got it. Digests all of my hottest hand loads. Ruger makes a darn good pistol.
Salt water?....sure hope you packed the diff housing with marine grease Pretty cool video tho....glad to see people still running the E10
Fresh water, HUGE lake. I'm pretty abusive to my RCs, but not that abusive haha. The Everest 10 / Gen 7 axles have always been my go to for mud trucks, their built like AK47s. huge sloppy tolerances allow them to just ingest and eat sand and mud for years without issues.
whats the knockin sound
In which machine?
Do you waterproof your servos or have you found any cheap ones that are truly waterproof? I’ve found the cheapos on amazon that claim to be waterproof are definitely not.
All of our servos are from stripped down RedCats. There are a few websites that sell Redcat stripped parts for very cheap. I've always found OEM parts to have much better build quality than their identical branded units solid on Amazon and Ebay. Maybe it has to do with quality control? The 15KG pink ones are from Redcat gen8s. We've never killed one despite subjecting them to ungodly amounts of water and mud. I think we paid only $14 for each one in a bulk buy 2-3 years ago. The other servo we run a lot of ironically are danchee ridgerock 7kg servos. Their super slow, all plastic, and NOT water proof, but their perfect for our mud trucks that mount them above the water line like the MudV1, MudV2, B50, and BoggerMax. Since these RCs have have their tires mounted so inboard they have no tire scrub and thus the light duty servos don't seem to have any issues turning the tires at all. They used to be a steal for $4 on a now out of stock website, not killed any of them yet either. The only servos we've killed are factory Everest 10 servos "their meh" and the atrocious Factory SCX6 servo
А позвоночник новый потом дают ?
Wow car the power 😀👍🤗
It is always the spots that do not look so bad that get you stuck. What tracks on an Argo.
Escargo tracks, very similar to adair tracks.
Each type machine does certain things well, not any machine does everything well. They each serve a purpose.
That's my draw to off road. There is no such thing as the perfect off road machine. Which means different designs can showcase their preference in different terrain. Every machine has some compromises. The Coot is much better in rocks, mud and steel side hills than ATVs, but the Coot is very slow, and can not be made to go faster. So long distances on more mild trails is pretty much impossible.
Nice machine. Can you tell me what tires you are running in this vid?
Carlisle tru power tires 29x12x15 if memory serves correct. Harder to steer. The coots do great with narrow tires.
Tha beats in the forest!
R.I.P Sleeper Amphibious MudVee 1.1 running 3S
That's ok, it was fully rebuilt better than ever after this, though I did just kill it again. I should rename this thing lazareth for how many deaths it's had.

Wow man! Your Everest 10 looks sick with the dually tires. Did you upgrade the drivetrain? Super cool mud bashers. 👀👍
It's had a few upgrades but nothing major. We run a lot of Everest and Gen7 parts in our mud rigs. In testing they are incredibly resilient when subjected to high wear grime and mud. While Redcat Everest might seem like cheap RC trucks, their sloppy tolerances and large oversized diff gears make them extremely hard to break even when their axles are filled with sand and mud. Also the basic dog bone style axles don't bind up and grind like tighter fitting cvts found on more expensive rigs. I think of them as the AK47 of RC trucks. As far as upgrades: This one only has aluminum C-hubs (since the old plastic ones eventually wore out after 2 years of running 8 tires. They also have 35 turn motors for a little more speed, you don't want to go too crazy as lower turn motors over heat faster when subjected to the high loads of mud bogging. After this video we replaced the stock pinion and spur gear with a mod 32 pitch pinion and a 3D printed spur gear to fit.
Amazing. Attention to detail and function 🏆🏆🏆
That thing is excruciatingly slow😢
I promise you'd have excruciating injuries if it was any faster
Great Job!!!
Thing must ride like a 1950’s Mack truck
I worked at Coot in 1983-1984. We made nearly everything. We bought the steel bodies punched and bent but they had to be welded. The transmission case was purchased. Obviously, the motor, wheels, and tires were purchased but other than that, just about everything was made. I can remember cutting the tubing for the gear boxes then the welder would weld them to the mounting plate and we would machine the top and the holes for the axles. I used to cut the tubing for the rails and bend them. I learned so much about manufacturing there. I’m glad to see people still have them and use them.
I didn't realize they where manufactured up into the 80s. I was under the impression 79 was the last year. Thanks for enlightening me. I need to release more videos of these two machines I haven't posted as many as I used to. Their incredible units that always impress.
Best tracks
I can't say I've ever seen better, so I'll have to agree with you!
На нём колёса так хорошо вынесены в стороны, что давно могли сделать на них накладные кресты, для выезда из грязи
а нахрена эта Z на передке?
Pew Pew!
I would absolutely LOVE to have this machine!!
I love the content, but next time I suggest you let someone who is not suffering from Parkinsons' disease hold the camera (no offence). It was tough to watch this without getting seasick. I first became enamoured with the Coot when I saw one for sale on Facebook marketplace near me. It's so impressive what this simple, yet ingenious machine can go through. How wide are these? Can these legally go on the same trails as side by side ATVs?
Sorry, that was my father holding the camera, normally I do the filming. This one is 64" wide and is legal on the trails in my state. They are quite narrow unless you bolt wide tires and spacers like I have on my other coot.
Argo Bob was the man
Thanks now I know I probably won't buy one
I can see why they stopped making them. They are dangerous.
the tyres on the white jeep don't look all that special but they certainly perform. plus the jeep too, obviously. a landrover man, i am and loving that.
They didn't have a lot of tread, but they where aired down and it was mostly rocks so they did fine, no worse than my tractor tires which are notoriously bad on rocks.
Get your camera guy a tripod.
Can you tell us the brand, and size, of the tires. I can't find anything with that tread style. Thnx
Thanks for your information. It will help me on my new build
The Ole Coot looks like it needs power steering really bad.
That Toyota truck fellow has the perfect set up.
